Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring over a popular southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling wildly, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm groves as onlookers watched.
Footage uploaded on social media show the chopper commencing to spiral above the shoreline then falling near the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders stated five persons were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the road were injured. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
